Weather Expected to Remain Dry in Kashmir Till Sunday, WDs Not Affecting J&K at Present: MeT

Srinagar 15 September (KNB): There has been an expectation of the weather to remain dry till Sunday in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, as per the latest update from Kashmir Weather.

The latest weather update said that as they are not ruling out chances of a brief rainfall and thundershower spells at a few places of Jammu region during morning hours till Sunday, the same period for Kashmir is likely to remain pleasant, with no rains but dry weather.

It was further said that the Western Disturbances are not affecting Jammu and Kashmir currently, however, these systems have now started to travel in lower latitudes. 

The official further said in the weather update that monsoon withdrawal is very unlikely before 20th and may not happen till 25th as back-to-back low pressure systems are expected to bring rain to Northwest India. (KNB)
