Srinagar 21 October (KNB): Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Thursday via police said that the seizing of bikes and snapping of internet of some towers has nothing to do with Home Minister of India’s visit.
In the wake of civilian killings in Kashmir, police had been seen seizing bikes of commuters and have also stepped up frisking in the valley especially in Srinagar. However, at some places, the internet was also shut down by authorities after the spurt in non-locals’ killings.
But, today IGP-K, as per police, has put forth the reason for seizing bikes and shutting down internet of some towers as related to militancy violence.
He said that the seizing of bikes and snapping of the internet has nothing to do with the visit of the Home Minister of India. (KNB)
