Srinagar 09 October (KNB): In south Kashmir Kulgam’s Manzgam area, two policemen were injured after suspected militants carried out an attack on a police party.
As per police officer, a police party was fired upon in Kulgam’s Manzgam area by militants during which two policemen were inflicted with injuries. He said that following the attack, the militants fled from the spot.
However, the injured duo were later taken for treatment in a nearby hospital. It was said that both the injured cops were stable and out of danger.
After the attack, security forces reached the spot of the incident and sealed the area to nab the attackers.
This incident occurred at the time when security has been beefed up across the valley especially in the Srinagar city after several civilians were killed in the summer capital of J&K. (KNB)
