JK-EJAC & TUCC Holds Meet, Discusses Core Issues of Working Class

Srinagar 09 October (KNB): A meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (G) was held at Srinagar under the leadership of S.P Tiwari, General Secretary, TUCC during which the issues of the working class were discussed for its early redressal. 

As per handout issued here, Syed Gh Rasool Geelani, General Secretary had placed the proposal before the meeting after threadbare deliberation on the issues of working class it was unanimously resolved to strive for the democratic rights of the working class as envisaged by the constitution of India in addition to implementation of policies and programs of the Government of  India.

It further said that the leaders who were present in the meeting were A A Bandroo, M Y Wani, Ali Mohammad Mir, F A Rather, Mashoor Ahmad Shah, A Ahad Mir, Manzoor Ahamad, M Altaf and others.

However, the leadership of JK-EJAC and TUCC discussed and put forth the following core issues confronted by the employees fraternity for its early redressal. It said that the issues includes — Regularization of all the categories of temporary workers working in different departments of Government PSU`s engaged by the J&K government after 1994 up to 2015 by way of amending SRO-520 and release their pending wages as per applicable Minimum wages act 1948 of the Government of India. Necessary amendments in the recruitment rules of different departments to create promotional avenues in favour of government employees for their career progressions and clearance of long pending promotions through proper mechanism. Removal of pay anomalies in all the wings of all the forest department viz Social forestry, Wild life, Territorial wings and of revenue field functionaries of Revenue department, PHE and I&FC and other alley departments. Regularization of National Youth Crops, academic vocational instructors, working in ITI section, and migrant substitutes of health department. Change of designation of helpers as appropriate working in different departments. Formation of transfer policies in favour of RET`s teachers and release of their time bound Promotions to ensure their maximum output.  Consideration of the core issue of pensioners in view of their pathetic condition. Implementation of Minimum Wage Act 1948 in favour of contingent paid workers in education and other departments, as being implemented across the country. Regularization of left out daily wager’s of Forest, PHE, PDD, and other departments engaged before 1994 to give them sustainable life. Social and Economic security of all the working class including unorganised workers. (KNB)
