Srinagar 15 October (KNB): One militant has been killed in an encounter in South Kashmir’s Wahibug area, said police on Friday.
As per IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar, the militant, who has been killed by forces in Wahibug, was involved in recent civilian killings.
“One militant of Srinagar City involved in recent civilian killing, neutralised in Pulwama encounter,” said police quoting IGP Kashmir.
The encounter started in Wahibug area of Pulwama late afternoon on Frirday after cordon and search operation was launched in the area following the inputs about the presence of militants there. (KNB)
