Srinagar 15 October (KNB): One militant has been killed in an encounter in Central Kashmir Srinagar’s Bemina area on Friday evening, said police.
The militant killed in the bemina encounter was involved in the killing of PSI Arshid, said Police quoting IGP-K Vijay Kumar.
The Bemina encounter comes on the heels of the one in South Kashmir’s Pulwama in which one militant was killed.
The militant killed in Pulwama encounter has been identified as Shahid Bashir Sheikh of Srinagar. “He was involved in the recent killing of a civilian (Mohd Safi Dar, PDD Deptt’s staff) on 2/10/21. AK 47 rifle was used in his killing. One AK rifle along with Mag/Amn recovered,” said Police. (KNB)
