Srinagar 21 October (KNB): Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha on Thursday expressed his gratitude to J&K police personnel and other security forces for their efforts of upholding peace in the UT.
LG Sinha on Police Commemoration Day during his speech at army police complex Zewan extolled the police and other security personnel’s work, which they have provided in every untoward situation in the valley whether that being in Covid, Law and Order or Militant Operations.
He said that J&K Police is popular throughout the country. Besides, LG Sinha also vowed to eliminate militancy from J&K and said police, security forces and administration would not rest till then.
Regarding the civilian killings, LG said that the ones involved in such gruesome acts would have to pay a heavy price. He also said that no one would be allowed to infringe upon the communal fabric of J&K.
Later in a tweet, LG said that “My gratitude to all police personnel and their families on the occasion of Police Commemoration Day. Tributes to all brave-hearts of police & security forces who laid down their lives in the line of duty.” (KNB)
