Srinagar 24 December (KNB): India has reported 6,650 new cases of Covid19, with 374 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,15,977 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 7,051 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 77,516, which constitutes 0.22 percent of the total cases, lowest since March 2020,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 0.57 percent, a figure less than two percent for the last 81 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 0.59 percent, which is less than one percent for the last 40 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that 140.31 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 66.98 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 358 omicron cases with 114 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 88 and 67 in Delhi. (KNB)
