Srinagar 24 December (KNB): A cop injured in the Rainawari accident succumbed to his injuries in the Sher e Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura yesterday.
The deceased was badly injured while on duty when an Auto Load Carrier hit him on December 13. He was hospitalised and was battling for life.
An official told KNB that the injured cop breathed his last yesterday at SKIMS hospital. The deceased cop has been identified as Iftikhar Ahmad, a cop who was living in the Zakura area of Srinagar.
The official said that the auto driver was arrested. “The case has been registered in the incident, and the vehicle has also been seized,” the official said.
Iftikhar breathed his last after remaining hospitalised for almost ten days (KNB).
