Srinagar 20 October (KNB): India has reported 18,454 new cases of Covid19, with 160 covid fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,34,95,808 covid patients have recovered so far in the country and 17,561 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 1,78,831, which constitutes 0.52 percent of total cases,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 1.48 percent, a figure less than three percent for the last 52 days. “Weekly Positivity Rate remains 1.34 percent, which is less than 3% for the last 118 days,” it added.
The ministry further said that one billion. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 59.57 Cr total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
On India’s achievement of100 Cr. doses, PM Narendra Modi said “Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat.” (KNB)
