Srinagar 10 November (KNB): Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, J&K UT on Wednesday said that the government has increased the Sub Inspector posts from 800 to 1200 and extended the upper age limit to 30 years for SI aspirants.
LG said in a tweet that following representation from various delegations, the Govt has taken a decision to provide one-time age relaxation for aspirants in recruitment of Sub-Inspectors.
He said that the upper age limit has been increased from 28 to 30 years & number of UT cadre posts also enhanced from 800 to 1200.
It is pertinent to mention that the SI aspirants had recently protested in Srinagar and had appealed for extension in the upper age limit. (KNB)
