Ex J&K Dy CM’s House Constructed Without Permission, JDA Directs For Its Removal

Srinagar 10 November (KNB): Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has directed Ex-Deputy Chief Minister of J&K Dr. Nirmal Singh to demolish his residential house in Ban Village of Nagrota, Jammu which was constructed without permission and falls in several violations. 

As per the order from the office of Vice-Chairman of JDA, Dr. Singh had constructed his house in Ban Village of Nagrota without attaining valid permission from competent authority as prescribed under law. 

It said that Dr. Singh’s house violates the permissible height of the building as prescribed in the bye-laws. “Violate by more than 10% the permissible ground coverage in the bye-laws and violate the front, rear or setbacks prescribed in the bye-laws,” the order reads. 

JDA also directed Dr. Singh to remove the illegal construction on his level within five days from the date of the issuance of the order. “If you fail to remove the illegal construction within the stipulated period of time the same shall be demolished by the Enforcement Wing of JDA and cost of removal shall be recovered from you as arrears of land revenue,” the order from JDA to Dr. Singh reads.
