Flood situation under control people need not to panic says Chief Engineer I&FC

Srinagar June 22,(KNB): In view of incessant and inclement weather people in the valley are in the spree of despair and gloom. In respect to this alarming situation the chief engineer flood and irrigation control Er Narish Kumar said that people are advised no need to panic

While talking to the KNB news agency, Chief engineer flood and irrigation control Er Narish Kumar confirmed that the department has tightened the hooks and all the field staff along with other higher officials are prioly monitoring such situations and are on their job adding, due to devastating weather and continuous rain the level of the water has arisen but people are advised not to be panic as everything presently is under control.

He further said that the water level in sangam, one of the tributary of river jehlum has touched the Red label line, but will level down as there are chances of improvement in weather in upcoming hours as said by meteorological department.

He also quoted that water is flowing, below the alert level especially in summer capital srinagar and in North Kashmir.

He advised people to download the mobile application “Kashmir Flood Alert” regarding flood alert so that they can get all the alerts and news regarding flood and weather.(KNB)
