Srinagar 09 August (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and Member Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah along with other party members on Monday visited Z Morh tunnel construction site in Sonamarg.
The tunnel is said to keep Srinagar and Ladakh connected throughout the year during all weather conditions. Whereas, the inclement weather in winters used to separate Ladakh from Srinagar for several months.
On the visit to Z-Morh tunnel today, Dr Farooq Abdullah was accompanied by Mian Altaf, Nasir Aslam and Tanvir Sadiq, as per JKNC twitter handle. ‘He’s the first leader to cross the Tunnel,” the tweet added.
However, during his visit, Dr Abdullah has also urged that the locals should be working on the project. (KNB)
