Poonch 9 August (KNB): Government Security Forces on Monday recovered arms and ammunition in Poonch district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that a search operation was launched in forest areas of Kasblari by PC Poonch along with local RR unit, 168 Bn BSF & 72 Bn CRPF.
During operation, which was led by DySP PC Poonch Manish Sharma-JKPS under the supervision of SSP Poonch Dr Vinod Kumar-IPS, huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were recovered, which include Two AK-47 Rifles, Four AK 47 Mags, One Chinese Pistol, Ten pistol magazines, one Set I-Com, Four Chinese grenades, Four non-electric & Nine electric type detonators, Fifteen Fuse detonators of Chinese grenades with levers, Cordex- approximately 16 Mtrs, AK-47 Amns- 257 rounds, 68 rounds of 9mm Amns Chinese, 23 rounds of 7.65 mm Amns, Two Nokia mobile phones, Twelve mobile battery chargers, Two 9V battery and Five unidentified electronic equipments.
Officials said that in this regard an FIR has been registered and investigation has also been initiated. (KNB)
