Srinagar 19 October (KNB) A Central Reserve Police Force personnel on Tuesday allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in Ramban district of Jammu, leaving him gravely injured.
The CRPF personnel had fired upon himself, as per an officer, when he was on his duty. After shooting himself, the CRPF personnel was taken to a hospital for treatment.
However, the personnel is said to be in serious condition and has been identified as Raju.
It is pertinent to mention that a number of incidents of security personnel taking their lives by shooting themselves have been seen in the recent past in J&K. (KNB)
