Srinagar 07 August (KNB): Militant after escaping from the encounter site in Budgam’s Mochwa area has been arrested by security forces at Khrew, said Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Saturday.
According to IGP, a second militant who was engaged in the encounter in Budgam with security forces had escaped from the gunfight site and was later arrested at Khrew area of Srinagar.
The militant was captured alive after following a lead, said IGP-Kashmir.
He further said that a grenade and a pistol was recovered from his possession while being arrested by the security forces. It was further said that a truck driver was also arrested at the same time.
However, in the encounter, one of the militants was killed earlier, whose identity was not confirmed immediately after the operation by the officials. (KNB)
