Srinagar 22 February (KNB): Basic Horticultural Trainees of Sheri-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Monday protested at the Press Enclave against their university authorities to rollback the decision of withdrawing the Horticultural Technician Grade-IV posts advertised on 3rd February 2021 by the SSB.

The trainees of SKUAST-K raised slogans against the authorities and were carrying posters and placards which read: “Revoke Withdrawal Order”, “We Want Justice”, “Save Us From Suicide”, and others.

“The recruitment rule for the posts of Horticulture Technician Grade IV is 10+2 with basic one-year basic horticulture training. The posts were advertised by SSB this year in February, which later was withdrawn on some notice from horticultural administration,” alleged a trainee from SKUAST-K.

He said that the withdrawal orders regarding the posts should be rollbacked. “We want our voices to be heard by the higher administration so that only basic horticulture trainees could apply for the posts,” he added. (KNB)
