Srinagar 22 February (KNB): In the afternoon on Monday, the forces start frisking people in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar, stopping the passersby and keeping commuters to stand in long lanes to frisk them.
The atmosphere turned a bit tense here in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk area when the forces and police were seen in huge numbers. However, the normal routine was somehow disrupted in the area for a while, which later came to its usual pace.
The frisking in the Lal Chowk was seen in the wake of the IGP Kashmir’s comments to make security tighter after the Baghat attack and Krishna Dhaba incident in Srinagar’s Sonwar. (KNB)
