Anti Militancy Operation in Sopore Village

Sopore 24 October (KNB): During the predawn hours of Saturday a joint team of Government forces surrounded and searched the Harwan village in Zainageer area of the Sopore town.

Officials stated that the cordon and search operation was initiation on the basis of inputs regarding the presence of militants in the area. 

Adding that the Army’s 22 RR, Jammu and Kashmir’s Counter Insurgency Group and other paramilitary forces conducted the operation.

Pertinently, A day ago, two newly recruited local militants, Abid Mushtaq War and Mehraj ud din War; both residents of Wadoora gave up arms in front of forces in Tujjer area of Sopore town. (KNB)
