Strongly Condemn Mehbooba’s Statement Regarding National Flag: JKPCC

Jammu 24 October (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress committee has strongly condemned the statement of former CM Mehbooba Mufti and said that she has hurt the patriotic sentiments of the people.

In response to Mufti’s statement JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that her statement is highly provocative and irresponsible and has hurt the patriotic sentiments of the people. Such statements are intolerable and unacceptable in any society.

He said the National flag is the symbol of honor and dignity of the country and reminds of the sacrifices of crores of Indians to achieve freedom and to protect the dignity, honour and the territorial integrity of the country. 

He further said that such statements would even defeat the democratic and constitutional struggle for achieving any just rights in the situation. 

“She should desist from such outrageous utterances to hurt the sentiments of every Indian”, he said. (KNB)
