Budgam 1 July (KNB): A women on Thursday allegedly attempted to end her life by setting self on fire in Hafroo area of Chadoora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Reportedly, the woman in her 30’s, is from Punjab state of India and is married to a person from Hafroo. She attempted to commit suicide at her home by using an inflammable substance to set herself ablaze.
Moreover, regarding the incident, an official said that the lady has been shifted to a hospital in Srinagar district and is being treated for her burns.
The reason to take this extreme step is not yet known but the concerned police station has taken up the matter and investigation is going on, official added. (KNB)
