Srinagar 13 January (KNB): Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Thursday called for the implementation of Covid19 SOPs/Guidelines in all the health care institutions of the valley.

A circular from DHSK said that the need to implement the Covid19 SOPs/Guidelines in all the health care institutions is felt after the country has been reporting a surge in Covid19 cases with the cases of Omicron variant being detected in J&K.

It was also enjoined upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers that they should get Covid19 SOPs/Guidelines implemented in their respective health care institutions.

It further said the officers should ensure that no patient/attendant is allowed in the hospital premises without the RAT testing and masks.

“In case of dire consequences, the need based protocol should be followed,” the circular from DHSK reads. (KNB)
