Baramulla 18 September (KNB): A speedy tipper hit an elderly man to death on Tuesday in Chatoosa village of Rafiabad area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The man was identified as Abdul Jabbar War, 70, son of Ghulam Mohammad war from Chatoosa village in Rafiabad.
Local news agency report, quoting SHO Dangiwachi, said that the accused driver had fled from the spot soon after the incident and that a hunt has been launched to nab him.
Police has registered a case under relevant sections and further investigations have been taken up. The body of the deceased has been handed over to the family after conducting the legal formalities.
It is pertinent mention here that on September 15 two persons were killed in an accident in Pattan area of Baramulla district when a bus bearing registration number JK01C 0782 collided with an Alto car bearing registration number JK01 6169. (KNB)
