Ganderbal 18 September (KNB): Missing from home since last evening, a minor boy was found dead in a paddy field in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.
Fasil Ahmad Misgar,10, according to an official quoted by a news agency, was recovered from paddy fields near his residence at Busarbugh Alestang Ganderbal today.
The body of the deceased has been taken to police station Ganderbal for legal and medical formalities and police have initiated investigation into the case.
In a similar incident in July this year, the disfigured body of Umar Farooq, 10, a resident of Gulgam area of Kupwara district in north Kashmirwas recovered in Kupwara district three days after he went missing. The brutal murder, which the former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti termed as “savage beyond imagination”, prompted the police to constitute a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the matter.
