Srinagar 9 December (KNB): Three militants of Al-Badr outfit have been killed and a civilian injured in an encounter in Tiken area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials told Kashmir News Bureau that all three militants of Al Badr outfit have been killed during the gun-battle in Pulwama.
They said that a civilian was also injured during exchange of firing.
“He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, his condition is said to be stable,” officials added.
As per officials 201 militants have been killed so far this year in Kashmir Division.
Earlier, officials told KNB that based on specific input about the presence of militants in the area, a joint team of Police, Army’s 55 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Tiken.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering off an encounter. (KNB)
