Grenade Lobbed in Baramulla, Woman Among Six Civilians Injured

Srinagar 9 December (KNB): Six people got injured due to a grenade explosion in Singpora Bazaar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials told Kashmir News Bureau that militants hurled a grenade in the main market of Singhpora, resulting in injuries to six civilians including a woman from Handwara.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and then were referred to SMHS for advanced treatment, officials added.

As per hospital authorities in Pattan, the injured civilians are Ghulam Mohammad Parray S/o Mohammad Ramzan Parray, Gulzar Ahmad Khan S/o Ghulam Mohiuddin, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat S/o Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Zubair Ahmad Dar S/o Ashiq Dar—all residents of Singhpora, Tabasum D/o Abdul Rehman Bhat R/o Doodipora Handwara and Farman Ali of UP.

Soon after the blast a team of 29 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a search operation in the area to nab the attackers, Police officials said. (KNB)
