Srinagar 23 February (KNB): Amid inclement weather and snow-blocked roads, Police on Wednesday helped a pregnant lady to reach hospital in South Kashmir Kulgam district’s Bunpora area.
Police spokesperson said, “a distress call was received wherein a person stated that a pregnant lady was stuck due to heavy accumulation of snow and family members were unable to carry her to hospital (on) their own and was suffering from irresistible pain (sic).”
After receiving the call, a Police Party from Police Station Kulgam rushed to the spot immediately after walking 2 Km amid blocked ways and slippery roads and helped the lady to reach District Hospital Kulgam for medical treatment.
Police said that an official vehicle was used by them as no ambulance service or any regular vehicle could be used to shift the lady to hospital. (KNB)
