Srinagar 9 January (KNB): Srinagar Municipal Corporation is continuing with its night snow clearance operations in different parts of the City.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that SMC Mayor Junaid Azim Mattu along with Commisssioner SMC Gazanfar Ali personally were on ground late in the evening, monitoring various snow clearance drives in Lal Chowk, Karan Nagar and Airport road.
The accumulated snow was being removed by SMC and relieved into Jehlum to ease the traffic issues and enable full resumption of economic activities.
Officials said that other teams are out and deputed along with machinery in various parts of the city for the night snow clearance operations that will continue till City is cleared up from snow.
Pertinently, the team work of all the Corporators in a joint effort with SMC officials in their concerned wards for night snow clearance is also taking place. (KNB)
