Srinagar, 07 December (KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has suspended Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary, the former In-charge Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) of Budgam, presently in Poonch pending an inquiry.
The suspension follows the registration of a corruption case (FIR No. 19/2023) by the Anti Corruption Bureau, citing violations of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Syed Shahnawaz, Regional Transport Officer Kashmir has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer to investigate the allegations.
The government order (No. 70-JK (TR) of 2023) mandates an in-depth inquiry with a report expected within one month.-KNB
