J&K, Ladakh High Court orders Judicial Officer Transfers and Postings

Srinagar, 07 December (KNB): The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced a series of transfers and postings of judicial officers, signaling a strategic reshuffling to bolster administrative efficiency within the judiciary. The order, numbered 1427 of 2023/RG dated December 6, 2023 details the following significant changes:

Ms. Sandeep Kour, 3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, sees a transfer with her services now at the disposal of Hon’ble the Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Ladakh.

Shri Shabir Ahmad Malik, 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla, assumes the position of Principal District and Sessions Judge in Kargil, succeeding Shri Iqbal Ahmad Masoodi.

Shri Yash Pal Sharma, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Leh transitions to the role of Presiding Officer, Fast Track Court (POCSO) Jammu, filling a crucial vacancy.

Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, Additional District and Sessions Judge Baramulla is entrusted with the additional charge of the Court of 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla.

Shri Iqbal Ahmad Masoodi, Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, assumes the mantle of 3rd Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, succeeding Ms. Sandeep Kour.

Ms. Spalzes Angmo, Member Secretary Ladakh Legal Services Authority, takes on the additional charge of the Court of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Leh.

Ms. Rajni Sharma, Special Mobile Magistrate (T) Jammu, undergoes a transfer, with her services now at the disposal of Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

Shri Parvin Pandoh, Joint Registrar Judicial (Protocol) High Court Wing Jammu, is reassigned as Special Mobile Magistrate (T) Jammu, succeeding Ms. Rajni Sharma.

Ms. Fozia Paul, City Judge Srinagar and Shri Sajad ur Rehman Sub Judge Uri, opt for a mutual exchange of their respective places of postings.
