Bandipora 23 September (KNB): A 35-year-old pregnant lady died and another woman got injured on Thursday evening in a road accident in Keema village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after a vehicle hit them.
Following the accident, both ladies were shifted to District Hospital Bandipora for treatment and wherefrom they were referred to Srinagar hospital for advance care.
However, on the way to Srinagar at Ajas one of the injured ladies, Fancy Begum, wife of Firdous Ahmad of Keema succumbed to her injuries. She was three months old pregnant.
Another injured woman has been identified as Hajira Bagem,50, wife of Abdul Ahad Dar of Keema. She is currently undergoing treatment at Srinagar hospital.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and have registered a case. (KNB)
