Police Raids House in Pulwama, Recovers Huge Quantity of Poppy Straw

Pulwama 11 July (KNB): Police on Sunday said that one person has been arrested in South Kashmir Pulwama’s Naina village after recovering a large quantity of Poppy straw from his possession. 

As per a handout issued to Kashmir News Bureau, SDPO Furqaan Qadir along with SHO Litter M Hafeez Choudhary conducted raid on the house of a one person in South Kashmir Pulwama’s Batpora in Naina village during which police recovered a huge quantity of Poppy straw from the accused. 

If further stated that after the recovery of the Poppy Straw, an FIR was lodged in this case at Police Station Litter and investigation has been taken up by the officials. 

However, police also appealed for the cooperation of people to put an end to the menace of drugs and implored the intervention of social institutions to help in making a drug free society. (KNB)
