Sopore 15 January (KNB): A drug peddler was arrested by Sopore Police in case FIR No. 09/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act, dated 11 January 2021 Police Station Dangiwacha.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that during the course of investigation of the case, arrested drug peddler Qaiser Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Hassan Dar R/O Ladoora Rafiabad revealed that Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Mohammad Yousuf Mir R/O Ladoora Rafiabad is also involved in drug peddling in the area.
Officials stated that afterwards Imtiyaz was arrested and
12 bottles of Codeine Phosphate and 8 strips of SPASMO PROXYVON Plus were recovered from his possession.
“Investigation in the case is still going on,” they said.
Police also said that community members are requested to come forward with proper information against drug peddlers in their neighbourhood and persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt strictly as per law. (KNB)
