Tangmarg 16 November (KNB): Police Station Tangmarg has apprehended a person namely Firdous Ahmad Magray son of Abdul Ahad Magray resident of Shrai Tangmarg, with 70 grams of Charas like substance and 590 grams of cannabis straw.
Officials stated that the person is a chronic drug peddler.
Case FIR no 124/2020 under relevant sections of law was lodged in police station Tangmarg and investigation taken up, they added.
SDPO Tangmarg Hilal Khaliq Bhat (JKPS) reiterated that we are all out against drug peddlers and request parents to be vigilant with respect to their wards and their friends.
SHO Tangmarg SI Md. Shafi revealed that it is 12th FIR of this nature this year.
Police officials stated that people are requested to inform nearest Police Station of Police Subdivision Tangmarg whenever they get any information regarding drug abuse in the area. (KNB)
