Awantipora 04 March (KNB): Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler in South Kashmir’s Awantipora district and recovered charas from his possession. 

Police said that the Police Post Reshipora on Naka duty arrested one drug peddler when the arrested person was moving in suspicious circumstances at Kawani Crossing Awantipora.

However, the arrested drug peddler has been identified as Ghulam Qadir Malik, a resident of Tahab Pulwama. “500 grams of Charas ( in shape of sticks)  was recovered from the possession of arrested person,” police said. 

Pertinently, a case vide FIR number 29/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Awantipora. (KNB)
