Police Arrest 2 Drug Peddlers in Srinagar, Recovers Heroin  

Srinagar April 16 (KNB): Police on Friday said that they have arrested two drug peddlers at Shalteng area of Srinagar and recovered 250 grams of heroin from their possession. 

An official said that at a checkpoint established at Shalteng Parimpora, three persons were stopped for checking. However, one among them fled from the spot while the two persons identified as Firdous Ahmad Sheikh and Adil Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Shalteng Parimpora were apprehended. 

Police also said that on checking, 250 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.

On questioning, the duo revealed the identification of the third person as their associate namely Ghulam Nabi Dar, a resident of Parimpora Srinagar. “Efforts are on to nab the accused person,” said police.

However, police also said that a case FIR number 67/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Parimpora and investigation has been initiated. (KNB)
