Srinagar 14 August (KNB): Slain Burhan Wani’s father Muzaffar Ahmad Wani on Saturday in a video message said that the claims of him being warned to unfurl the flag on August 15 and his decision to resign from the post are rumours.

Wani said that whatever is being circulated on social media now regarding him is all incorrect. It was said by him in order to deny the claims of he being warned to unfurl the flag and his decision to resign from the post of Principal, which he said was making rounds on the social media.

“No one has talked to me (regarding it) and no particular order has been issued mentioning my name. I also don’t have any intentions to resign,” said Wani.

“I refute all the things being circulated on social media,” he said.

He further said that every school is included in the order issued by the government. “No particular order has been issued mentioning my name,” said Wani.

However, it is pertinent to mention that schools and offices in J&K were ordered recently by the government to hoist the tricolour flag on August 15. (KNB)
