JeM Module Busted in Jammu, Four Militants Arrested: Police

Srinagar 14 August (KNB): Day ahead of the 75th Independence Day of India, Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed to have busted a Jaish-e-Mohammed module and arrested Four militants of the outfit in Jammu region of the Union Territory.

Jammu Police said that a major tragedy has been averted in Jammu as 4 Jaish Militants and their associates have been arrested by the Police in a drive to root out militant presence in the region.

In this regard Jammu Police tweeted, “Muntazir Manzoor @ Saifulla R/o Prichoo Pulwama, a member of Militant organization Jaish-e-Mohammed was the first to be arrested in this chain & from him Pistol, Magazine, rounds & Hand grenades were recovered.”

“His truck used for transporting weapons to the valley was also seized,” Jammu Police added.

Moreover, Mukesh Singh, IPS ADGP, IGP Jammu through the official Twitter handle said, “They were planning collection of arms dropped by drones and supply to active militants of Jaish-e- Mohammed in Kashmir valley; planting a vehicle based IED in Jammu before 15th August and reconnaissance of important targets in other parts of the country.” (KNB)
