Srinagar, 09 January (KNB): The Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid released a statement confirming that its president, Mirwaiz e Kashmir Mohammad Umar Farooq was granted permission by the authorities to travel to New Delhi. The statement highlighted that Mirwaiz had emphasized the personal nature of his visit, leading to the approval from authorities.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid said that its president Mirwaz e Kashmir Mohammad Umar Farooq was allowed by the state authorities to travel to New Delhi , yesterday . Mirwaiz had conveyed the personal nature of his visit after which the authorities allowed him .
“It is pertinent to mention here that despite his release from house detention in September 2023 , he is repeatedly detained at his house especially on Fridays .Mirwaiz will be back in a couple of weeks inshallah”. the statement added-KNB
