Militants Involved in Attack on BJP Leader Anwar Khan’s House Killed in Pulwama Encounter: IGP Vijay Kumar

Srinagar 2 April (KNB): Militants involved in killing of Cop during attack on Baharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anwar Khan’s residence on Thursday, were killed in the Pulwama encounter, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said.

As per the official Twitter handle of J&K police, IGP Vijay Kumar said that militants involved in yesterday’s attack on BJP leader in which one policeman was killed, have been killed (in Pulwama encounter) and the weapon they had snatched has also been recovered.

Earlier, Police said that three militants were killed in the encounter which started between militants and security forces in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama and arms, ammunition were also recovered.

During the encounter, one girl among two civilians were also injured during the clashes near the encounter site.

Pertinent to mention that yesterday, during late morning hours, four militants attacked the guard post outside the house of BJP’s Mohammad Anwar Khan in Aaribagh Kanipora, Srinagar, killing one policeman, Rameez Raja.

Moreover, IGP Kashmir congratulated police and security forces for killing the militants responsible for yesterday’s attack in less than 24 hours. (KNB)
