MeT Expects Rain to Continue Till 21th July, Tuesday To Be Its Peak 

Srinagar 19 July (KNB): Meteorological department Kashmir on Monday said that they are expecting rainfall till 21st of this month with more downpour going to be witnessed on Tuesday.

The MeT in its official update in the morning said that there would be more rain in spells which would remain till 21 July. With the prediction of more rains, it further informed that most places of the UT received light to moderate rainfall from late night, which the MeT said was expected already. 

However, the MeT in this regard stated that “as expected, light to moderate rain occurred at most places of J&K especially since late night. More rain in spells likely till 21st with peak on 20th. Rajani at Kathua received a good shower of 75mm at 10:30 pm.” 

Earlier the MeT had also predicted on 17th July that there would be heavy to very heavy rain in Jammu division and moderate to heavy rain in Kashmir division from 19th to 21th. 

It was further said that the possible impact of the rain in the form of flash floods in Jammu and Kashmir is not ruled out. (KNB)
