Mercury Slips Below 10 Degrees C During Night Across Kashmir

Srinagar 19 October (KNB): Temperature across Kashmir last night slipped below 10 degrees Celsius, which at a couple of places in the valley was above 10 degrees Celsius on the intervening night of 17th and 18th October, as per MeT.

The data procured from MeT shows that the temperature on last night across north, central and south Kashmir was below 10 degrees Celsius, with Srinagar district recording 7.7 Degrees C on last night. 

In North Kashmir, a famous tourist destination Gulmarg recorded 2.0 Degrees C while Kupwara recorded 6.4 degrees C last night.    

In South Kashmir, Qazigund, Pahalgam and Kokernag recorded 8.2, 4.8 and 7.2 degrees Celsius respectively. 

However, the UT Lakakh’s Leh recorded the temperature last night close to freezing point i.e., 0.6 degrees Celsius.  

Regarding the weather in J&K, MeT officials days ago said there will be dry weather in the UT from 19th to 22nd of this month. (KNB)
