Ahmedabad 19 Nov(KNB): The Chandkheda Police Station in Ahmedabad has registered a case against an individual named WEN Johnson for entering the ground without authorization during the India-Australia World Cup final match.
Identifying as a fervent Virat Kohli fan, the accused breached the stadium’s barriers to watch the match, prompting legal actions under sections 332 and 447 of the IPC for unauthorized entry into the Gujarat Cricket Association stadium, as confirmed by the Ahmedabad Police.
The spectator was wearing a “Free Palestine” and “Stop bombing Palestine” T-shirt and therefore it can be concluded that he purposely tried to draw the eyeballs of people around the world to the ongoing crisis in Gaza between Israel and Hamas – a militant group.(KNB)
