Kulgam 11 April(KNB): Two militants including a foreigner were killed in a encounter with security forces in Khurbatpora village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, police said.
According to reports reaching to news agency KNB, that foreigner militant including one hybrid militant killed while as two cops also sustain injuries and were shifted to hospital.
“One Pakistani militant (code name Chacha) & one hybrid militant killed. 02 Police Personnel also injured. They are being evacuated to hospital. #Encounter going on said IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
Earlier, Acting on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the Khurbatpora area of the Kulgam, the security forces had launched a cordon-and-search operation there, sources said.
They said the search operation turned into an encounter when the militants opened fire at the security personnel, who retaliated. In the ensuing exchange of fire, an two militants were killed, adding, the operation is on.(KNB)
