Kulgam, Apr 11 (KNB): A gunfight raged on Monday between forces and militants in Khurbatpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam, Police said.
According to initial reports reaching to news agency KNB, On a specific input about the presence of militants in the area, forces lay cordon and search operation.
The hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated by forces- triggering into encounter.
While Police has confirmed in a in a tweet“ #Encounter has started at #Khurbatpora area of #Kulgam. Police and Army on job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted—(KNB)
