Joint Operation by J&K and Punjab Police Dismantles Inter-State Narcotic Network, Seizes ₹4.94 Crores and Apprehends Key Accused: DGP Punjab

Srinagar, 11 October (KNB):
Punjab Police and Jammu & Kashmir Police conducted a successful joint operation resulting in the apprehension of a notorious drug smuggler.

The operation took place in Mullanpur Dakha, where the authorities seized a staggering ₹4.94 crores in illicit funds, 38 counterfeit vehicle number plates, and one revolver.

DGP Punjab Police in a post on X said, “Big Blow to inter-state narcotic network: J&K Police & Punjab Police, in a joint operation have apprehended one drug smuggler from Mullanpur Dakha and seized ₹4.94 crores along with 38 fake vehicle number plates and 1 revolver.He is one of the key accused in 30 Kg Heroin recently recovered in Jammu.Investigations on-going to establish backward & forward linkages.@PunjabPoliceInd is committed to make #Punjab drug-free as per the vision of CM @BhagwantMann.”

As the investigations continue, authorities are hopeful that more information will come to light, leading to further arrests and the disruption of drug trafficking operations.- KNB
