Srinagar, October 11 (KNB):In a recent government order (JKCCC Order No. 87 of 2023), The J&K Cable Car Corporation Limited, a J&K government undertaking, has issued a significant order regarding the famous Gulmarg Gondola Project.
The order, dated 27th September 2023, announces that Phase-II of the project will now be chargeable for all categories of passengers, including tourists, tourist guides, and service providers, at the normal tariff rates set by the Corporation.
The decision to charge for Phase-II of the Gulmarg Gondola Project is attributed to limited space availability at Apharwat and the relatively lower carrying capacity of Phase-II. This move aims to address the growing demand for the Phase-I experience. The order, signed by the General Manager, has been put into immediate effect.
The order has been copied to various stakeholders, including the Managing Director of JKCCC for information, the Accounts Officer of JKCCC, the Incharge of the Gulmarg Gondola Project, and the Technical Officer to the Managing Director for their awareness and necessary actions.- KNB
