J&K To Mourn Ex Governor Jagmohan’s Demise For Three Days: Order

Srinagar, 4 May (KNB): The government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday said that a three day mourning is going to be observed in UT, starting from today as a tribute to Ex Governor of J&k Jagmohan Malhotra who died after brief a illness on May 3rd in capital Delhi.  

According to the order there there will be a three day mourning as a tribute to the former Governor, who died last evening.  

It further said that the National Flag shall fly at half-mast during the state mourning on all buildings and places where it is placed.  

The order lying with Kashmir News Bureaus reads that “As a mark of respect to Shri Jagmohan, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who passed away on 03-05-21, the government has decided that three days State mourning shall be observed from 04.05.2021 (Tuesday) to 06.05.2021 (Thursday). The National Flag shall fly at half-mast during the State mourning on all buildings and places where it is flown regularly. There shall be no official entertainment/function during the State mourning.” (KNB)
