Jammu 22 January (KNB): A security guard was found dead inside J&K Bank’s ATM in sector 13 of Nanak Nagar locality in Jammu division last evening.
Residents of the area said that the police officials were informed after they found the security guard lying dead inside the guardroom of the ATM, which was covered with blood all around.
Upon reaching the spot, officials called in the forensic teams and the ATM was also seized.
Officials said that at first sight it seemed to be a case murder but investigation has already been initiated.
Speaking to Kashmir News Bureau, Private Secretary of J&K Bank’s Chairman Karan Singh said that the police have not shared any details with them about the incident so far.
When asked about any sort of help/assistance from the bank for the bereaved family, he said that officially there are no such provisions but once we get the approval, then out of goodwill the staff will come forward and contribute towards facilitating the family. (KNB)
